The tune of the song given above is a copy of the great song or Keerthana "Manasa  sancharare.." in Raga Sama. Given below some renderings of this great song.
The original composition by Sadasivabrahmendrar used in film "Sankarabharanam" but in a lucid manner.

Sadasiva Brahmendra,a great ascetic,a Brahma jnani lived in 17th century in Tamilnadu. He was a profound Advaita Scholar that renounced the materialistic life at an early age.His compositions are out-pourings of devotion and philosophy. They elevate us to the realms of spiritual heights. Inspite of his excellence in the knowledge of the Vedas and other scriptures he used to wander freely in his own world.Songs like Pibare Rama rasam,Manasa sancharare,Gayathi Vanamali etc. haunt our minds drenching us in Bhakti.

This painting by S Rajam shows a story from Sadasiva Brahmendral's Avadhootha life.

Here we can listen to some classical renderings
